Succulent of the Month: Graptopetalum, Graptoveria, Pachyveria

PRESENTER FOR OCTOBER IS: Tom Glavich – “Exploring Gasteria including Cultivars and Hybrids”

The talk is a look at the genus Gasteria.  The main concentration is a look at the species of Gasteria, then variegates, both white and yellow, and intergeneric hybrids.  Both older and newer hybrids will be shown.  The final section is about cultivation and propagation including hybridization and the development of new variegates.

Tom Glavich is a member of many of the Southern California Cactus and Succulent Societies. He has been a frequent speaker at the South Coast Cactus and Succulent Society. He is one of the co-chairs of the Inter-City Cactus and Succulent Show, and the author of many articles in the Journal of the Cactus and Succulent Society of America and several books.  His latest book is: “Beginner’s Guide to Adromischus, Aeonium, Dudleya, Euphorbia, Pelargonium and other Succulent Dicots”.
