PRESENTER FOR FEBRUARY: Tom Glavich “Ice Plants for the Cool Grower”
This presentation will look at three genera of Ice Plants in depth, comparing habitat with cultivation, and looking at what we can learn from habitat that will make us better growers. We will also take a look at some of the more unusual members of the Ice Plant Family and try to expand our appreciation of the family beyond the usual suspects. We will also discuss cultivation and propagation.
Tom Glavich is a long-time grower and propagator of succulent plants. He was a member of the CSSA Board of Directors and is the author of two books on succulent plants. He is a member of several LA plant Societies, and has been an active member of both the CSSA and Inter-City Show Committees. Tom is a frequent contributor to San Gabriel Valley and CSSA publications as well as the Mini Show descriptions in the Prickly News Newsletter of the South Coast Cactus and Succulent Society.
