Succulent of the Month: Echeveria
PRESENTER FOR JUNE IS: Tom Glavich “Exploring Euphorbia”.
Euphorbias are some of the most popular species at all Cactus and Succulent Shows. This genus is worldwide, with members on every continent except Antarctica. This talk will take a look at some of the species from South Africa, Madagascar, the Mediterranean, and the Americas, concentrating on the similarities and differences in these geographically disparate regions. The presentation will include a look at mutant forms and conclude with a section on cultivation and propagation.
Tom Glavich is a long-time grower and propagator of succulent plants. He was a member of the CSSA Board of Directors and is the author of two books on succulent plants. He is one of the co-chairs of the Inter-City Cactus and Succulent Show held the first weekend of August at the Los Angeles County Arboretum. He is a contributor to the Mini Show descriptions in the Prickly News-Newsletter of the South Coast Cactus and Succulent Society.
